Director and Photographer

Diego Pernía is an award-winning director, writer, creative director of live performances, and photographer. His extensive experience around the world, where he has directed in more than 40 countries and 700 cities, has been recognized for his elegant fusion of a strong aesthetic sense with compelling narratives, seamlessly integrating CGI elements with live action, resulting in pieces with a distinct cinematic style. For Diego, the set is a living laboratory where technique serves emotion. His work is characterized by a discerning eye, a keen visual awareness, and a deep sensitivity to human performances. Throughout his career, he has brought this vision to the page, the stage, and high-end advertising, achieving a balance between aesthetic sophistication and narrative truth.
He has written and directed major advertising campaigns for brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Ford, Mazda, Peugeot, Samsung Russia (official campaign for the Sochi Olympic Games in Moscow), Nissan (including Nissan Ginza, filmed in Tokyo, and the award-winning "5th Element" for Nissan Altima), SKY, General Motors Company, and the award-winning "Canary Islands National Tourism" campaign, "It all starts with a Hello." He has also worked for brands such as Toyota, Televisa—for whom he wrote and directed the globally acclaimed "Stars of the Bicentennial" campaign—and the "Thank You" campaign for the Mexican Navy. He has also worked on special projects, such as promos for the series "Killer Women." He has worked for Sony, HSBC, Telcel, AXN, Nestlé, and Axe—a brand for which he co-wrote and directed three half-hour episodes, in addition to creating the visual design for the entire season of the animated television series "City Hunters" for Fox, which won gold at the "Ojo de Iberoamérica" award among numerous other accolades—and more. Citibank, Fox Italia, Animax, and MG, among others, have entrusted him with communicating their ideas year after year.
